I wish reputation had more awards or acheivments...
It seems very inactive or not in use at the moment, as there is no real desire for people to want rep or infact to give it out... rep should feel more rewarding to get, and people should feel they want it more and should feel what they post, they'd expect a rep for it... it needs more promotion, i dont think many people use it anymore!

I see the reputation system getting used quite a bit - just not excessively and pointlessly as it used to be. Most reputation comments nowadays actually means something.

Reputation never was an award as such, we have things like that like Member of the Month. As you become an older member at HabboxForum reputation matters so little, although I speak with newer members who are very keen to get to certain milestones of reputation and so often attempt to get me to +rep their posts.

Something that makes it very obvious to me that people care about rep is whenever rep is offered by Management for members completing favours, people volunteer in their masses, for instance:

We offered 45 reputation points to each person who voted ExtremeHabbo in fansite voting in Spring. ~ Over 170 lots of reputation given out.

We offered 15 reputation points for people who filled out a series of polls to aid a HabboxLive gameshow ~ Over 120 lots of reputation were given out.

It's clear people do care about reputation and the system shouldn't be hyped up, because it's a nice subtle way of rewarding users and keeping the reward to yourself - there are other awards that help you show off.

I don't get repped as much as I used to because I don't bum everyone here and a large number of the people who had rep worth using have gone, but it's still fairly well used. Got 5 separate reps (idk how much each I don't count it like Robald does) in the last 4 days which is nothing compared to *+*ThE oLd DaYz*+* but still not that terrible. tbh any extras you give for it are just going to increase pointless reps being given out because everyone will be looking to win the prizes rather than just post well.

It does seem like you'd be right, but Oli is also right with what he's saying. I think people like to let on that they're all cool and don't care but really they do. Still, incorporating the Awards system with reputation couldn't hurt but I'm sure there could well be such plans in the pipeline as there are plenty more awards to be seen in the future.

The only direct change to the reputation system I would alter (other than my recent suggestion regarding the spread limit) is adding more reputation blocks. I reached the maximum about agessssss ago but if you look at my rep/power in comparison to other users, there are many who completely dwarf me. It feels like the blocks aren't relevant to rep points and power in terms of the whole overall concept of reputation. Basically I don't see why the blocks shouldn't continue across the rest of the space on the post-bit (until they reach the join date/posts/rep power figures).

Hush Thomas!!! I don't usually count it, we were just playing a game

I don't know about adding more but it could be an idea to make them harder to get. I don't like the idea of using awards for reputation, as you have the rep blocks so perhaps it'd be an idea to make them harder to get.

The title that you get when you click on the rep blocks does still change, for example yours Rob is "Is a great example to all" and Tom's is "A Habbox Legend" (forum should stop lying tbh ;l) - although I guess this is relatively minor and goes unnoticed.

Fgs be quiet for once Tom. ;l Don't change those things Oli, I still notice them! If you're making the blocks harder to get, maybe they should be more relative to the titles you get when you click them (so each one = each title)?

By the way I didn't mean have an award for every rep achievement, I just meant a few more like the current ones which you get at 1k, 5k, 10k etc. Now that you mention it, you could have awards for the scroll over titles - then they wouldn't be so obsolete. BOOM! SUNDAY UPDATES :8
