    Default Idea for the arcade!

I might be wrong but the arcade seems kind of dead (most recent entry on the Newest Champions list after mine is 06-02-2010) and there never seems to be more than a small handful of tournaments going on. I reckon this could be down to how isolated the arcade is from the rest of the forum.

My proposition is similar to Rozi's (not so) recent suggestion of displaying birthdays with the other stats at the foot of the main forum page. Why not display some arcade stats down there too and help it get noticed by the newer members and hopefully get it bustling as I imagine it once was?! All I'm talking about would be the main stuff you see on the Arcade front page so basically; the top three high-score champions, the newest champions and the latest high-score. Obviously listed here would be links to the respective games giving more access to the arcade. Of course current tournaments could also be displayed here. This may sound a like a lot of stuff but it's not really and there's buckets of space at the bottom of the forum anyway (the Habbox Forum Statistics and Icon Legend areas both have a huge space next to them so if two columns were made there you could easily get loads more stuff to the right of them.

Arcade is dead because people are bored of flash games .

Hm, I'm not too keen on the idea. I think with the arcade we need to get a more constant influx of games - which is something I have planned for this summer and start getting tournaments run by staff again - again something I plan to do this summer.

I'm actually quite interested in possibly getting some arcade tournaments into our summer spectacular, but this'll be something I need to speak to Roxy about

Is it because it sounds like there will be too much information?

It's more I'm not sure it gets noticed too much, people take a quick glimpse at the online list - basically I think we can do better

Fair enough but the arcade itself is noticed even less! We'll just have to see what becomes of the proposed ideas you mentioned

You mean like the last 3 or 4 GMs said? Forgive me for being pessimistic but just trying the same thing again in the same way won't work. It'll be too much work on your part and the tournaments will get forgotten about after the first ones have finished. Has there ever even been a completed tournament on hxf?

Apachi got it right, its all about promotion and relevance and the arcade has neither atm. Is there even an award for it?

    Yes, there is an award

& I dunno if you were around during Easter but I ran a tournament every day and each one was completed and had substantial prizes, I have a lot of time through summer and I will ensure that the arcade is used - the arcade was buzzing in Easter because our prizes were things such as the chance to pick a new game.
