    Default Keyborad keys mixing up

just recently i realised therte was something wrong with my keys

for example, when i press the 'at' symbol i get "
    when i press ~ i get |

it's weird to explain, basically they're all mixed up and i have to try all the symbol to get the one i want. now it's only the symbols so it's not that much of a problem yet

    any help to restore them?

Your keyboard is set to american haha

Do you know how to get to the language settings?

Start > Control Panel > Regional and Language Options

Then on the drop downs under Regional Options and Advanced, make sure UK is selected.

If you're getting " when you want @, its set to american. Go to control panel --> Region and Language --> Change keyboards. Click "add" and add the UK layout. Should sort it.
