I'm not really sure, it's just a random thing I guess. With FM on the end, i'll know it's a radio and if you're going to say what about radio on the end then some radio names can sound better with FM.

In terms of Habbo ones, they probably don't understand what frequency modulation is and think it's just general term associated with radios.

Although some real stations simulcast online as well as via FM.

People associate the radio with FM and AM, it just makes the name sound nicer. Like Heart FM. Names like Habbox Live do not need FM on the end as the name sounds complete as it is.

Because AM is an almost dead radio frequency with poor coverage and sound quality, and is not as well known to being related to radio.

Anyone having done their GCSEs should know main differences between FM/AM/DAB.
