Can you put like the sub forum header thingy in like purple or red, it just makes it stand out from the rest of the forum, and atm its not really noticable

It shouldn't need to. Although it's an event, I personally think all of the forums should have the same style.

It is possible - Put HTML in the description on admincp.

Maybe a permanent notice on the top of the forum that links to the BB forums would do if you can't get HTML in the header.
