    Default Question about Vista.

So I went to use my moms laptop today (as mine was at a friends) and it kept coming up "Your copy of windows is not genuine" or something like that, anyone know why it's doing this? We've had it like a year or two and it's never said it until now.

    + rep for any help.
Sounds like someone wants to get.... funky.

Basically means you're running a pirated copy, although this once came up on my XP laptop running a genuine copy.

Try this (worked on XP, not sure about Vista though): http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/U...emoveWGA.shtml

My Vista did this before and we bought it from currys. I just put in my key that I got with it and it worked like a dream again.

Take this as a sign to upgrade to Windows 7..?
Don't mean to be rude, at all, but Vista is rubbish.
i've been here for over 8 years and i don't know why
