Default Video of Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad surfaces

Faisal Shahzad: "Islam will spread on the whole world and democracy will be defeated" - video courtesy of al-Arabiya
A video has emerged in which the man who attempted to set off a car bomb in New York defends his actions.
Faisal Shahzad says in the tape he is carrying out the Times Square attack as revenge for Muslim fighters, "oppressed and weak Muslims", and "martyrs".
The Pakistani-born US citizen has admitted all charges relating to the attempted attack on 1 May.
A petrol and propane bomb was left in a car but failed to ignite. Shahzad is due to be sentenced in October.
A street vendor saw smoke coming from the vehicle and alerted the police.

I will take revenge on their behalf and I really wish that the hearts of the Muslims will be pleased with this attack”
    End Quote Faisal Shahzad
Shahzad was arrested two days later as he tried to take a flight to Dubai from New York's John F Kennedy airport.
In the video, broadcast on the al-Arabiya TV station, Shahzad refers to the US-led war in Afghanistan and to two Islamist leaders killed by US forces - Baytullah Mehsud and Abu Musaab al-Zarqawi of al-Qaeda in Iraq.
"Eight years has passed by in Afghanistan and you will see that the Muslim war has just started," he says.
"This attack on the United States will also be a revenge attack for all the mujahideen... and the weak and oppressed Muslims, for example Baytullah Mehsud and Abu Musaab al-Zarqawi, and all the Muslims and Arabs that have been martyred.
"I will take revenge on their behalf and I really wish that the hearts of the Muslims will be pleased with this attack.
"Islam will spread on the whole world and democracy will be defeated... and the world of Allah will be supreme."

This is why we need to get rid of Islamic extremists - sure, this guy isn't in the UK but there are many extremists here on the same level as him. Now, the HxF PC brigade (no names) will say "but its his opinion, he has to have his opinion" - yeah it's his opinion, but read....

"Islam will spread on the whole world and democracy will be defeated" - OK he isn't talking for all Muslims, but I'm talking about extremists. If this guy wants to take over the world and get rid of democracy then he shouldn't be allowed an opinion on this - afterall, it's democracy and freedom of speech that lets him say these things. And it's even worse when he wants to cause bloodshed and violence on innocent people...

I'm gonna end this post now... but before I go I need to just get something... hang on, it's here somewhere... ah here it is, my anti-PC-bullpoop helmet... phew.

Any kind of extremist needs to be gone to be honest, and i doubt anyone's gonna say that his opinion is his opinion, that can only be said for some things. He's just wrong, simple as.

Yes you're right, although the most prominent extremists are Islamic extremists, mainly because there are many here and many voicing their opinions which happen to be "kill democracy and all of the dirty infidels" - I recall alexxxx saying that the extremists can't be silenced just because we disagree... well they should be if they're inciting violence, and nobody can say these extremists are peaceful...

And yet, if I was to promote Marxism, all would be well. But yeah, as soon as he tries to incite violence he's gone too far.

I support their freedom of speech provided it is not followed by illegal actions. However in the real world (far different from this world) he would not be in the country in the first place, because you can gurantee most of these lot do not work/do not have real jobs that we need as a country. To stop someone because of an opinion is wrong, but to stop somebody because you do not require them is the correct way to go about it.

    lol pc brigade.

this guys going to jail for a long time for trying to kill dozens of people in times square. he's obviously a nutjob. from what he's said, he's not actually calling for anyone else to kill anyone. i think it's debatable whether he's calling for other people to carry out violence in the video.

and undertaker this guy was not poor and he was a naturalised us citizen (not just given out on a plate). he had a job in finance in the US making proper money, went to university etc and his family were very well off. it's a bit easy to generalise but i don't think there's such thing as a stereotypical terrorist.
    goodbye.

Why did you bold those words? He should not be allowed to incite violence and hatred, but all the PC nutjobs will let him because it's "freedom of speech" and the ironic thing is these extremists say they hate freedom of speech and democracy... flipping hypocrites.

Yeah, this guy is an extremist. And there are many extremists living in the United Kingdom. Many openly want democracy destroyed and freedom of speech gagged. They want everyone to pray to allah and mohammed and would like to purge the country of the dirty infidels. These extremists should NOT be allowed to stay or enter the country - wanting violence and bloodshed crosses the line.

    It just doesn't make sense.

well then that's their view. as long as they don't call for violence or be violent i don't care about their view which is not held by much of a proportion at all. and you'll find a lot of extremists are british citizens so you can't deport them.
    goodbye.
