I was just amazed when I read this article. Perhaps I am being naive but I thought homophobia in employment was something that was left in the 20th Century.
This article shocked me a bit although I found this paragraph showed some have come a long way :

What will it take for someone to take that step? "Guarantees: from their club, that they will be supported and not sold, support from the fans and from commercial endorsements. The main obstacle is that football is entrenched in homophobia.
