In bed and you hear someone breaking in...

If you were in bed one night and you heard a really loud bang or smash, assuming someone was trying to break into your house what would you do? Also do you have any kind of weapon in your bedroom that you have there just incase you were put into a situation such as this?

I'd probably jump out of bed, grab my axe handle (basically a solid metal bar that once had an axe on the end used for chopping wood, very light to swing but carries a lot of momentum), I'd then run next door and wake my dad up as quick as I could, I suppose I'd let my dad make the decisions from then on. If something like this was to happen for real, you aren't likely to make the same decisions as you would now so you never really know what you would do but I'm pretty sure I'd do this.

unplug my phone charger. that thing is like ****** massive and has the metal bits stickin out. Also very easy to swing like a flail. I imagine id be one to go first but my mum would probably hold me back and she'd go.

well id have to sneeak into my mum + dads room as my stepdad has a large bluntisdh sword ( im serious lol :L ) and id carry it down stairs grabb a biscuit and see what it was lol thants being silly but yeh dunno

I have an extendible baton next to my bed so I'd pick that up, creep down the stairs while telling my mum to ring the police. If there was anyone down there they'd get pretty darn messed up by me, because I have young siblings and I am not willing to allow them to be in any danger even if it means I have to break the law to ensure their safety.

anyway id get this old replica shotgun out from under my bed (double barrel, looks real and is easy to hold on to and swing about).
id tell my dad/mum, theyd probably tell me not to go down (or my mum would anyway)

I don't really have any sort of weapon in my room for this kind of situation, just my fists i guess pretty sure my mum and dad keep some sort of baseball bat under their bed for this.

after i got over the shock i'd get a glass (one on my desk) and throw it at the intruder lol then ring 999 and probably tie him up or something

I've got a knife on the shelf next to my bed, so i'd grab that and prepare myself. I'd probably wake the rest of my family up quietly, and try to quietly ring the police too.
