Seems a few people have got this Avir Pro thing recently, is there any chance it could be from here? I know pyroka is on the job already, but it's annoying to sort out if I'mma get it again.

There have been a few possibility's however it always seems to lead back to habboxforum, I don't understand how people are getting the virus one by one though, surely it would be a mass virus if something on habbox was exploited.

Not sure, might be to do with what security you have. Because on the malwarebytes forum topic, they said it would have been blocked before it was downloaded if you had their buyable version, so if you have a similar to that it may have been blocked.

Umm just AVG I think, usually fine but not sure. Have been reading and some say it's google redirects or something. I do normally type whatever I want in the web address bar for it to search through google, so who knows :/

Im unsure as to how folks are obtaining the virus unless they're silly enough to open random executables pulled from the net around these parts.

I don't use an AV, but it's not because my main OS is OS X. I simply do not download crap. A strategy I encourage everyone to adapt

The only thing I can think of is that it could be in some of these signature scripts that some people use on HxF although that wouldn't make sense as the people who have been infected don't use them.

    It could be facebook.

The signature scripts? The ones JH made? I highly doubt he would do something like that.

    (HotelUser wouldn't either (or maybe))

I got this virus yesterday and the only things I was on at the time was Facebook and HxF. I've got it fixed now at PC World and they have put on anti malware and norton 360, it's a horrible virus!

You're talking like we're stupid, and actually downloaded the file. It just pops up with no download already scanning, you don't accept anything.
