summer is the time for ice cream cups
summer is a season that lasts the least
summer brings barbeques, a great big feast
last of all, summer is a well deserved break

Summer is here but what's it about?
The birds, the flowers or a lazy lout?
The beach, the sun,
The laugh of the tongue
Only you know the reason!
Summer is different for everyone,
But most of all it's about fun,
Whether you sunbathe,
Or drink away,
You know summer
Can't always stay
So for once a year,
Let it all out,
No need to fight, squabble or pout!
Summer is fresh,
It starts new beginnings,
Competitions beckon that need winning,
So leave your books,
And leave your bags,
And just remember not to sag.
So ending it off,
