mw2 getting old already?

Is anyone else just tired of mw2? I'm not hooked on it like i was on cod 4 and it's becoming a effort to even play one match. I don't know what cod 4 has that mw2 doesn't too keep me playing. :s

Hopefully blackops will be a improvement.

Yeah but cod 4 has been out for a few years now and i still enjoy playing it.

Played cod4 competitively on the pc for 2 years now and I still play it everyday..

It's because it pretty much is cod4 so its something youve played before, possibly twice.

no it isnt, yes it is part of the cod franchise but they playstyle approach to both games is extremely different. deathstreaks, noob perks and killstreak rewards all change the playstyle up not to mention the metagame is based on positioning more than reactions thanks to the crappy maps.

Don't forget, MW2 is just a badly designed experience. COD4 had that whiplash approach to accessible multiplayer, you were always satisfied, with this it's so-so.

But yeah, I've been bored of it for a while now. Kinda of livened things up for a little while by only quick-scoping and stuff, but I've ended up going back to cod4. But saying that, I rarely play my xbox anymore.

I've heard several stories of how even IW aren't happy with the multiplayer, and how activision forced a release date on the game, so they didn't have enough time to finish it completely. Whether it's true or not, I think the game isn't as good as what it should be.
