    Default A little help...

Well, I got a virus which blocked all internet access and tried to make me buy some kind of anti-virus programme. Obviously, i did not buy it and i restarted my computer and set it to system repair. It has seemed to have removed the virus, but is there anyway i can make sure that it hasnt left anything behind. I already have scanned my computer with AVG 9.0 with the latest updates and with microsoft defender and it has found nothing, but as it didnt block the virus in the first place, would it detect it anyway?

Any help with making sure that it has completely gone? Thanks.

i would assume its gone, but if you're still unsure use a better anti virus software (malwerebytes or spybot i would reccomend)

Yeh best thing to do is go to Google and find a free virus checker and run that & hopefully it will tell you that you are virus free.

AVG free would be my pick of antivirus protection.

However, I only use them to scan. If I ever found a virus on my computer I would reimage.
