    Default Airbus A380 @ Manchester

Emirates launch their first A380 service to a regional airport in Manchester, by replacing a 777 with the A380 on one of their twice daily Manchester-Dubai flights, tomorrow making it one of only 6 European airports to accept the plane. I'm just interested in seeing if anybody's been on one or even seen one before...

Personally i've never seen one and i think it'll be quite interesting to see (My next door neighbours are going on the inaugral flight to Dubai in first class!)

Yeah should be a good sight to see tomorrow, shame I won't have the chance to go anywhere near it.

I saw it when I was driving along the M60.

It is gigantic, you can't really scale the size of it when it is in the sky but when it is on the ground my god it is something to see! Hopefully one day I get to fly on it.

My uncle lives under the flight path to Heathrow, so we saw one of these beasts flying a couple of months ago. Absolutely huge and (we found) surprisingly quiet too.

It just doesn't look like it should lift off the ground. Such a shame that aircrafts are going back in time with Concorde retiring.. now that was simply the pinnacle of man's achievement. Still, the A380 is a great plane.
