Default T-Mobile or Orange customer? Use the other network when out of coverage!

T-Mobile and Orange's merger is now enabling us to roam onto the other network, I signed up and it's very nice when you're out of coverage! You can only use GPRS internet connections whilst roaming though, and there's no additional charge for using this service

This is a similar setup to what we have in Canada with Telus and Bell. Canadians are charged a eight dollar a month system access fee (mandatory) which enables us to use the other companies network.

So useful for home, I mostly use my mobile here and T-Mobile's coverage is pretty crappy out in the countryside

If you moved to Canada you would learn that there's an entirely new definition for coverage that's really crappy

I've just signed up for this.

Also, do you need a 3G sim card to get 3G? Because I never get 3G EVER in the UK (I have in France), yet all my friends on the same network get 3G in the exact same places where I don't!
i'm out of touch, i'm out of love
i'll pick you up when you're getting down
and out of all these things i've done
i think i love you better now

You shouldn't do, your phone may not be 3G compatible.

As I said, i've previously received 3G in France. Besides, I know it's 3G compatible.

That's my brain switching off after school If you got 3G in France using that same SIM I'd contact the network
