Google is already been testing "Self-Drive" cars, it was in the news not that long ago. Although it won't become a standard yet but "future" it could do.

Sort of nearly there. I think I read the new Ford Focus will have Wi-Fi in 2012, but that's probably only going to take off in the US rather than here in the UK, but could be wrong. It's either that, or cars pick up the internet using 3G (or 4G, if that's still in development) and can beam it around the car in its own little isolated network. Heck, it's amazing cars don't yet pick up E, G or 3G for things like computer updates where cars might even have their own computer with a functioning OS

You can already use a MiFi or similar 3G->WiFi device to make a car wifi zone, and with a car charger it serves the same purpose.
