    Default PC wont turn on..

Well i've been given a pc and it won't turn on. I've tried running it with just processor and ram, just to see if it would boot up. but nope, tried all different configurations trying to turn it on. When the power is connected, the pwr_led on the motherboard is lit up, but when you press the button, it doesnt even go to a POST so i can't determine whats wrong with it. I'm thinking this might be the PSU? It was working but didnt turn it on for around 3 weeks and im now in this situation terribly worded thread, i know.
This is our situation and we're happy to be here,
I wouldn't change this place for anything.

I had this problem with my current computer and found out that it was because the USB port was so messed up, the prongs (or w/e the metal attatchments) inside the port were touching the motherboard and this caused it to fault and be inactive. I removed the USB port and everything was working fine afterwards.

Try pulling the power cable out and removing the round BIOS battery from the motherboard for a couple of minutes, have you also got a spare power supply and graphics card you can try?

Throw it in the bin and get a new one. My computer wouldnt turn on and in the end it was the motherboard which would cost me bout the same price as another computer.
