Okay, so I suggested this to MattG but I haven't heard anything of it.

With the current video competition on Habbo, you are asked to make a video tutorial showing some stuff on the newly released Wired Furniture.

The kicker is:

We will pick the winning videos based on which ones get the most views on YouTube!

Now, I think this would be a great opportunity to get Habbox into the community. Why?

PRIZES:
The directors of the top 20 videos will each receive 1 month of VIP, a badge -- and they will have their videos displayed on their Habbo Homepages for two months! Staff Selected "Honorable Mentions" might also be picked for this competition.

Might not be that great of a reward. But imagine this:

Habbox does a video for the competition. They then make a forced-to-read announcement or something so that every visitor to the forum sees it and has a quick look. The amount of users checking it out will boost the view counter up and up.

Now, I think Alkaz should send it in under his name... why? Because his name starts with "A" and therefore, it would be at the top of the page (usually). He would transform his HabboHome promoting Habbox and blah blah blah.

Of course, if you don't get top 20, you lose a few credits that were spent on your homepage.

I don't see why this doesn't happen. Feel free to fill me in why this wouldn't happen though.

Does Habbo.com work on a basis of 0-9 then A-Z then symbols? or do the symbols appear first. If the symbols appear first then -Danube- or -l-iam would be a good participant.

However, does it have to be someone who is in a senior position? Going back to the alphabet and such if they did 0-9 first, wouldn't 1cred OR 9y(the addict, bet he could get people to watch.)

be the best person for the role? I know you would have to ask her and anything. But I don't think that the name matters, it's most probably who submit it or anything close to the due date. That tends to happen a lot if you get me.

Not sure to be honest. I just assume they go alphabetical so they can say "Order isn't based on views." Then again, they may do it for views.

This idea is just about void now anyway, they've left it go too long... Competition ends soon.

It is a good idea. I think if we get someone to make the video or help with it who knows about wired furniture then we would still have 4 or so days to get views on it. Not many people will have the power to get as many people to view their video like we could have so it's still worth a shot? I've just had a look on youtube and the highest viewed video I've seen is a a little over a thousand. I'm sure we could still do a lot better than that.
