Heya,
It's not a typo. There's a current glitch with the News (and probably) content panel which replaces apostrophes with that lovely symbol.
It's been like this for ages, and it seems General Management haven't been able to find a work around, or way to fix it. It's not a huge issue, but I agree it can be annoying.
