    Default Fake HxHD Warning

Okie. So we all know that "HabboxSanta" has a fake HxHD. Good job for trying to warn your users. However, it's been stated many times that forum is the centre of it all and that's why I think having the warning to users on the site is a bad idea.

Don't take this the wrong way, I'm not just complaining for the sake of it. In the other threads, I think more focus on the site would be good. But if this was some sort of thing to get us to the main site (I don't think it is), I think you're going about it the wrong way.

This is the safety of your users and it's not something to be playing with. I wouldn't have seen the warning and everything else if I hadn't have gone to the site to check if the wired guide was up yet. I'm fairly confident some others will agree with this and some others won't even know what warning I'm talking about.

I suggest a notice up the top of the forums.

Also, just to prove my point, I'd like to add...

I saw a staff member in the fake hxhd and then asked them on MSN if they were in helpdesk. They said yes and then I asked them to check the owner. They thought they were in the real helpdesk and the reason behind this? Lack of exposure of the notice.
    - I will not name and shame them.

I agree. When the warning came about the Habbox Santa I was on the thread that wa slike 'PLEASE STAFF IT MAY BE SCAMMM' and someone posted the links to the warning. If I hadn't have read that thread I would have been non the wiser that a warning had been sent out! And although I wouldn't donate to 'Habbox Santa' anyway I think other people may do.

As the forum is mostly used I feel that it should be on here and not just the main site.

Yeah, I would put some sort of warning in big bold letters near the top, good idea really. Since others may get scammed if someone is not in the HD or whatever.. I agree 100%, quite a few may not read habbox, so its good to warn everybody!

    Good ideas +rep

I agree Josh tbh, the forum is where many users go, other than the site. A simple notice at the top of the forum would be fine and would get the message across quicky and effectively.

Thanks for the suggestion Josh and a notice has been put up, we have linked it to the article as it would be quite a large message to include it all in. (+rep)

Thanks. Might just use my VIP powers to close the thread as it's not needed and any other posts would be pointless. Cheers.
