    Although I have a feeling that your vB is nulled, but whatever, happy christmas

    In your footer, find:

    HTML Code:
    <if condition="$show['quickchooser']"> <td class="tfoot"> <select name="styleid" onchange="switch_id(this, 'style')"> <optgroup label="$vbphrase[quick_style_chooser]"> $quickchooserbits </optgroup> </select> </td> </if>
    And around that, add:

    HTML Code:
    <if condition="is_member_of($vbulletin->userinfo, x)"></if>

    ex-event organizer
    ex-gfx designer

    If you are trying to do what the OP requested in the vb.org thread then don't bother with this code as it won't work.

    all this will do is hide the style change drop down box from the footer for certain usergroups. Doesn't address that users can change style from usercp too or that it doesn't really help the OP in anyway shape or form.

    Furthermore by changing the dropdown list this wouldn't prevent users from just going to the style url. (eg index.php?style=12).

    A modification of this sort would require far more extensive mods then some template changing.
