that turns off my computer after a specified amount of time and ignores if any stuff is open (eg. firefox).

I tend to listen to music on my computer, but generally fall asleep pretty soon so dnt really like the fact its constantly being switched off by the mains

Use foobar2000 as a music player. You can create a playlist and when it plays the last track your PC will shutdown. It requires a plugin though so if you decide to use it just drop me a PM. It's quite hard to find.

Open up command prompt and do:

    Code:
    shutdown /s /t 50000
This will tell the computer to shutdown, no matter what, after 50,000 seconds.
