    Default Always feeling tired

Hey, well basically.. everyday no matter what time I go to sleep I always feel tired and feel the need to go back to sleep and have no idea why.

Anyone have any ideas how to prevent this?

I would reccomend seeing your doctor - there are a few medical conditions that cause this, it's probably not, but better to be safe than sorry! I know that Diabetes can cause this.

Also, is there a possibility you sleepwalk? My friend used to always wake up tired and it turned out that he was sleep walking and this caused him to use up energy while he is actually sleeping. I think that medication can sort this out.

Another suggestion would be that perhaps you need to change your diet if you're eating a considerable amount of bad food or if you are not eating enough fruit and veg.

Just a few suggestions, hope you get to the root of this problem

I have the same problem and I have no idea how to prevent it to be honest. You can try and go to sleep/wake up at the same time every day and see if that helps you at all.

Something about a 4 hour cycle isnt there. So like, make sure you sleep like 4 hours, 8 hours, 12 hours. If you break the cycle you feel **** or something...

How long has this been going on for?

A few times i've gone through tired time periods in my life. I've never had too much of a problem though and it usualy desists within a few weeks.

I'd recommend seeing your doctor though if this has been going on for a long time.

I heard it was 1.5 hours, so 6, 7.5 and 9 hours are all good for you

Are you eating a balanced diet and exercising regularly? Both of those can affect the quality of sleep you're getting so if you don't already, try excercising every morning / evening (you'll have to try both out as it's different for everyone) and see if that makes a difference. Make sure you're not using electronic items about an hour before you go to bed too - it can make you feel worse and personally I always get a better night's sleep when I'm not using them straight before I go to bed.
Do you wake up during the night?

This is very good advice and in additional do you drink enough water as not enough can make you feel lethargic and tired. Also too many caffiene loaded drinks can have the same effect. Another factor to consider is stress or the time of year -all this can have an effect on us.

I don't think it's worth seeing the doctor yet as it's probably just an issue that will go away.

I don't sleepwalk, not that I know of anyway. And yeah, I may change my diet soon. Thanks!

My sleeping pattern is all over the place, no way I could do that! Although I do it in school times (wake up the same time). Thanks Shar.

Well, it's been really cold outside lately so the only real exercise would be my fingers and walking about lmao. I'll try it out though. And yeah, I always plan that and whenever I do it's great, I'll do it more often. And I have recently lately, hmm. What could the cause of the waking up during the night be? Thanks for the advice Roxy

I don't really drink water, I'll try and drink it more often though. Thanks Rosie!

    Thanks everyone, +rep!

Calv are you stressed? Sometimes if theres a lot on mind it causes a person to have a lack of sleep.
