What is Power of Pixels?
Power of Pixels is a community for designers and developers of all platforms (photography, UI designers, etc.) and all abilities to colaborate and discuss what you do best! We hope to cater for all aspects of designing and developing, and hope to see you over there soon! Power of Pixels is run by myself, and a designer I've worked with for about 4 years now called Joel.
One of our aims is to get a great variety of designers, developers and abilities on the forum, so that everyone can learn from each other and not feel embarassed to ask what may be considered a stupid question; because no matter what your question is, there'll be someone to answer it!

There's no such thing as a stupid question, but they're the easiest to answer!

Are we open yet?
No... currently we're just performing a few final checks, and deciding if there are any features we want to add to v1 before we release.
We plan to open on Tuesday 11th January, 2011 (11/1/11), at 5pm!

Jobs and all that jazz?
Not yet, before I go handing out moderator positions like they're smarties, there needs to be content to moderate in the first place. So yes, jobs will be available in the future, but not until we reach a point where it's becoming a bit of a chore for just Joel and myself to manage.

I like the look and feel of this, best of luck in getting this off the ground. One or two things you might want to tackle would be the tiny text on the menus, which could also do with a darker colour. An important thing to sort out before you launch is duplicate content- at the moment your address with and without www. are classed as two different websites, so you need to have one redirect to the other with some kind of vB plugin or some htaccess code. Leaving it as is basically jeopardises your Google rankings.

Best of luck as always, would have been even more brilliant if you launched at 11 past 1!

Thanks for your comments, I've darkened the menu text, and I'm considering making it larger - thanks for that!
The guy who manages the servers is going to add a redirect for me, our server runs lighttpd, which I'm not used to and can't run htaccess on
