Have to say that making the field look like a number plate made me smile. A lot. Nice little tool but it could do with being promoted on a few auto forums to make it a bit more useful?

didn't work with a personalised reg i tried (letter number letter letter letter). invalid format.

Now fixed, I think...

Update:
- Added: City of registration for 1983-2001 number plates.
- Added: Period of registration for 1963-1983 number plates.
- Fixed: Better plate validation of 1983-2001 plates.
