Well, if you havent noticed habbo fansites are dead now a days and the ovbious answer is that all the users that played habbo in the time period that sulake actually advertised us so my proposal is simple we have the site owner send a line to habbo and try getting them to promote us again and actually make users aware that we are here and still an official habbo site!

Fat chance that is going to happen, we have to work with what we have- Sulake stopped caring about fansites ages ago.

Although, we could get Habbo staff to come and do a show or something, which I did offer to contact for Habbox when I was management. I know that if a proposal is sent, some of them will be more than happy to do a radio show.

Unfortunately i don't think that would do any good, although i suppose it's worth a try. Bygone are the days when fansites used to regularly show up on the main site news feed. If habbox/other fansites are going to survive it will be largely due to the efforts of the people who run the sites.
Bonjour, la noirceur, mon vieil ami
    Je suis venu te reparler
    Car une vision piétinante doucement
A laissé ses graines lorsque je dormais
    Et la vision
Qui était plantée dans mon cerveau
    Demeure toujours
    Parmi le son du silence

No idea if staff would come onto fansites anymore anyway this is on their group page -

    * Since we are moving away from having a small list of Official Fansites, towards a long list of Fansites, we will no longer be able to endorse Fansites with articles and prizes.
So they wouldn't give any articles or any promotion of the site really.

It's unclear who in Sulake is in charge of fansites at the moment, we've made attempts to contact them however never really been successful - however just to point out Habbox has a very close relationship with Redtiz who uses our forums on a regular basis and often helps us out by telling users that she can be contacted via HabboxForum.

In terms of staff coming onto the radio - they aren't allowed to play music on the radio (silly sulake rule) although Redtiz has offered to do a Safety Show - she's just waiting to find a time when she can do it as obviously she's incredibly busy.

We have to live without Sulake promotion, and we don't do too bad.

Sadly, what everyone is saying is true. Sulake are currently biting the hand that feeds them as fansites often helped keep people interested. Back in the day, it was almost easy to chat with Habbo Staff on a regular basis for interviews and such. Nowdays, it's gone uber corporate and they're only interested in getting money out of people rather than the overall experience. An experience, might I add, that used to keep people interested.

As Oli said, we're doing pretty well without them and no doubt if Sulake popped on here more often they'd try and enforce more ridiculous regulations which stifle any creativity that currently exists on here.

^ This. However, I really like what redtiz is doing by getting involved with the community. It's a shame she is probably as powerless as us when it comes to talking to her superiors. Habbox is doing okay seeing as Sulake has stuck their fingers up at their customers, but it's a shame when Habbo was such a powerful force where fansites made up half of Habbo with communities you can join with their own little competitions, events and societies.
