Default "Patient left all day with two bodies"

A HORRIFIED woman has blasted hospital bosses after her dad was left lying next to TWO dead bodies all day.

Seriously ill Fred Corbett was 'devastated' by the ordeal as he also had to put up with naked dementia patients wandering through his ward, his daughter claimed.

Mr Corbett, 71, was battling a suspected case of the killer e-coli bug at Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford, Kent.

I know this family and what I've heard about this has been quite disgusting. For years now a lot of people causally call this hospital Death Valley. In 2003 my nan had to go here for the night for something quite trivial but because of her age they kept her in the night. The next day she had contracted some mysterious illness and was kept in that night. Within two weeks my nan had died and was suffering multiple strokes on the day of her death.

Again 6 weeks later my granddad went in for an operation to remove fluid from his lungs which he had had done before. Within about 16 days he had lost three stone and he to died.

A close family friend who had been treated for 15 years for stomach ulcer found out that he hadn't had them and through the medication had developed gallstones. They also failed to spot a brain tumour growing over three years and has since said he may only have a matter of months to live. He received almost £3m in compensation from the NHS.

About a year ago on ITV News there was a report about this hospital being one of the leading hospitals in the country. I think that it came about because they had a new cancer treatment unit, the first in the UK or something along those lines. From what I have described above and my own personal experiences with this hospital and the despicable staffing and cleanliness issues followed by the report by ITV it does make me, personally wonder what other hospitals are like and why it would appear it's fine for it to go on like it.
