    Default Version Six..

WHERE IS IT? I AM BORED OF WAITING? I QUIT.

    No, joking.

    But ANYWAY :L

I was wondering if Version Six was having a good user involved user system (I am sure I heard it was?) If so, could there be an option to have the radio stop automatically when signed in? I think this would be a nice little feature to have - or even, although this might be too complex, have it so you can turn it off at a certain time of day?

    Hmm interesting idea.

You just gave me an idea.

    It's probably rather complex but..

a little pop up when a certain DJ comes on - or is supposed to be anyway? Like, you set your "favourite DJs" then whenever you're on the site and the DJ is booked in 5 minutes it just has a little pop up reminder saying "DJ X is on in 5 minutes!" or something?

That would be great! I will be honest, I wouldn't mind waiting a little bit longer for original, useful features like that.

    ---

Also, not sure if this would speed the website up, but could you have it so each user could hide certain areas of the website? Hence meaning less things to load - after all if I were to use the website (and iof the user features etc are good, I will) - I would want to hide things like rare values.

At the moment in terms of player controls it has a volume slider, a pause and play button and then a off button which will stop the stream from playing indefinitely.

I like the idea of being able to set it only to play between a user specified range of hours though. That can definitely a feature for users who are signed in

Omg we are on fire lol great idea there again. And also maybe being able to customise the site? So you can move the text boxes which suit you, hide ones you don't want/need etc?

And, and, and omg. For rare values, you could maybe have a list of "rares to watch"...basically, you have rares which you want to see the values of and "watch them" so you short list them and then you have a little widget tell you if they've gone up or down since your last visit, by how much, and their current value?

I honestly wouldn't mind waiting until march if these types of things were added.

Just be careful, we don't want a Duke Nukem forever on our hands, if you keep moving the finishing line you'll never get there. You can always have V6.1 or V6.2. I just hope this doesn't end up like vista, way late and way bloated with too many features, although I'm sure Jin was conservative when drawing up the specs.

I believe user interactivity was central to the plans, which I think is just what most fansites lack. Hopefully we'll be able to offer something unique even if it did take a while.

Vista turned out not bad after Service Pack 1 though! But as Jin stated in the other thread the first few releases will be functional releases.

Not quite sure about hiding what you are saying there, in terms of hiding things from the navigation/menus? But there will be some customization for the users indeed.

Vista never really improved, Windows Server 2008 on the other hand, that thing is a piece of art nowadays since R2. So just release a server version of Habbox and.. it's all good.

I forgot that Jin actually talked about multiple releases, silly me.

All I'm going to say to these posts are, you're going to have to wait until it's released to see what it's like!

This is an excellent idea Rob, and I've just implemented it. Five minutes before a new DJ is coming online it will alert the user.
