    Default Terms and conditions

    Hey,
    Habboxforum's terms and conditions it state:

    I am aware the page may not get updated often, however, I still feel "without notice" is unfair. Being an active member of forum I believe it is only fair to give others and myself prior notice of such change. I have agreed to the terms and conditions upon registration but that's not to say I'll agree to future add-ons.

    Perhaps I misread, either way a small update in the Development Announcements shouldn't be a massive problem. So I'm confused to why the above says without notice, fair enough "because you can" but why? When you should be keeping members up to date with terms and conditions anyhow.

    The "without notice" is standard in most or nearly all Terms & Conditions on websites and so on, most likely to back themselves up when they do change anything in them. Although normally if we do change anything, we normally do a small announcement to make the user base aware of such changes like we do with forum rules. But we hardly ever changes this and I don't think the actual T&C's have been changed for quite some time.

    The clause is there incase it ever needs to be used if the rules need to be instantly updated without notice - it'd be quite rare if it did happen but still, it's handy to have a clause in the T&C so it can happen if it's ever needed.

    HabboxForum and Habbox Management, as you know are quite good at giving notice however and this is a practice we shall ensure continues however it would be silly to take such clauses from the T&C incase the rules need to be modified in emergency/exceptional circumstances, they are only words it's not what we follow but it's handy to have those words there incase we ever need them

    It's a standard item in any ToC and useful, as Hecktix says, if any rules need updating but someone is acting out but there is no rule against their actions e.g. A new, wondrous form of swearing appears but there are no rules explicitly against it, but the actions are starting to wear thin. However, any use other than this makes a website who uses this clause unimaginative. For example: Banning someone for no reason at all, because they simply cannot find a reason

    Amazed at this thread.

    Virtually anyone with sense has this in their T&C. It makes it near impossible to complain about changes in it, and allows website owners/developers to change things as and when needed - quickly.

    Here pal I honestly think you should seek some help, every single post you make is somewhat depressing, I'm not even joking.

    @Above
    I understand now, I didn't think you posted updates on terms and conditions, my bad.

    He makes a point Richie.

    Did you even read the T&C when you signed up? If you did you are one of the VERY few who did lol.

    Fair enough he may have made a valid point on this occasion but seriously mate any post he makes has some sort of negative vibe and yeah sadly I did I normally do unless the terms and conditions are pages long.
