Default Hair Dye coming out in the shower

I got my hair dyed yesterday and I was wondering if it's normal for hair dye to come out in the shower?

Like the water basically turned the colour of my hair

    Just wondering if it's normal.

did you get it professionally done ?
last time i had my hair dyed professionally, it all came out in the shower and it faded within 2 or 3 weeks back to the color it was before
since then i've been using box dyes myself and it says in a lott longer. wayy cheaper too.

Yup when I had red hair the water looked like blood lol. Whenever I newly dye my hair I tend to avoid washing it too much in the first week I've had it done.

This only happens when I get mine done professionally which isn't very often any more because it doesn't last long. Do it yourself or get someone else to do it for you at home, it's cheaper and lasts longer

is it permanent? even permanent dyes can take a few times to stick the first time dying. i used to leave my hair aslong as possible without washing it after dying then use a load of conditioner and a cold rinse to keep the colour longer.

this happens to me every time don't worry!
I dye mine purple/violet and it comes out red in the shower and looks like a scene from Saw or something haha.
