I noticed today when I was in the shower that I had a few fairly big red blotches appear when I was exposed to the heat of the water but when I came out they went away about an hour later. The water wasn't that hot to begin with. Does anyone else get these?

I get this quite a lot after a hot bath/shower, nothing to worry about!

I always get blotches, especially after having a shower/bath. Nothing to worry about though, honestly!

Heat rashes occur when sweat glands get blocked and they usually last for a few days so probably isn't one of them considering you get it after you shower and it disappears after an hour. Maybe the water was too hot for you, or it could even be a mild reaction to something you're washing yourself with and as Tara has said if you get dry skin, heat can make the skin go red. Either way I don't think there's anything to worry about and if it does get worse you can always get it checked out.

Its perfectly normal, it just generally means your bodys hot (pretty much like when you go all red though embarassment / anger and other issues) the body temperature will rise which will result in increased blood flow, and much faster blood flow, You may also notice your veins will surface and literally pop-up on you skin so they are visible, this is how the body cools itself down (which is why its gone in under an hour).
