    Default Tanzania - Africa.

My school is doing an expedition to Tanzania in africa,

Its to like, help in the community , full scuba diving course , safari , helping rangers,

it's for four weeks, and it's not till next year.

I'm thinking of it as, it's one of those once in a life time experiences on actually being there , and you get 70 UCAS points.

But it's a pretty big price of £3'480 for four weeks. .

Do it do it do it. Things like this you will NEVER forget. I went to the Gambia at xmas and costa rica last summer with school and they were the most memorable experiences of my life so far!

I picked up a thing in a college about oging to Tanzania to work in the orphange, helping rangers, teaching, coaching sports, there was more but I can't remember and it's A LOT cheaper than that. The only difference would be the UCA points but is it worth the difference?

How long would yours have been, also his includes Scuba Diving and Safari - which tends to bump the price up a bit. I imagine the flights are about £900 too.

I am going to Namibia in July, helping renovate a school, going to the national part etc for two weeks - that trip is £2148

your trips were all well expensive. I got to go both times for like £700 I think but we took cheaper flights. 26 hrs traveling -shudders- and raised about 40k

    When did you go?

I can give a breakdown of costs for the Namibia Expedition. As I say almost half the cost of the trip is flights for us.

Just looked at the price of flights, and Tanzania appears to be far cheaper to get to then Namibia - not sure what end of the countries each main airport is situated.
