If you like in ear headphones, hmv are usually good had mine about 3 years and there still in good tac

I have a pair of Skullcandy 'DUB's at the moment, £7 from HMV and I haven't regretted them at all just yet to be honest. Most of the pairs you'll find in HMV are pretty good, I had some HMV Caps (£5) for over a year before replacing them.

If you're looking for the best build quality you should probably go for Sennheisers, the only downside being they're rarely very colourful compared to others you can get.

I have Nixon "The Trooper" cans. They are amazing. A little pricey but worth it

Seconding Shaz's recommendation, they're the only ones I buy any more! Also when I bought mine in-store they gave me a years warranty, so if they break (for any reason) I get a new pair. Warranty's only £1.50 and I'm pretty clumsy so it's pretty much just free earphones!

I agree, you want some proper cans
