    Default Best security setup? +REP

    Hey,

I just wanted to check what was the best way to secure your account of Habbo, like have it linked to Facebook, Google etc or none.

    Thanks

I wouldn't link it to any thing. I would have a seperate gmail account for your Habbo account, and then use a random pass generator to create your habbo pass, then save it somewhere. I would then when entering your pass from then on copy and paste it so if you had a keylogger or whatever it's called it won't actually know what you're typing. Or have it saved so you automatically log in. Thats what I do anyway and have been fine since I started using this system.

Make sure your Habbo password is secure. Create an email with which you only use if you need to change you Habbo password. Don't store the password to your email address on the computer. Make sure you run frequent virus and malware scans. Use Sandboxie to run all applications.

    - Setup a gmail account and use 2 step verification (Basically, for anyone to log into your email account they need a code which is given via an app on your phone)
    - Use LONG randomised passwords & security questions (for your gmail account and Habbo ID) - good site for this: http://www.pctools.com/guides/password/
    - Don't use the email for anything else & make sure to keep all your login information hidden (I keep mines encrypted on my phone which is passworded, you could however write on a notepad/piece of paper and hide it somewhere... or perhaps inside a book?)
    - When you are done with Habbo, remotely log out (either click LOG OUT at the top of the client or at the top of the page you are on e.g. a group page)
    - When you are online on Habbo make sure to only use sites you can TRUST - e.g. Facebook, email accounts etc (I tend to stay away from stuff like tumblr, forums etc)
    - Don't click on links on Habbo (even from close friends, you never know really... just look at the security breach from a couple of weeks ago! - i tend to only RARELY click likes and if anything they are usually habbo.com ones, nothing else)

    Keep safe
