Default Don (My latest short film)

I'd like to share my last film as part of my Degree in Film & TV Production.

It was fun to make and one of the best, although like most it did have a few small issues. There's a lot of footage that didn't make this final cut but we do aim to make it hopefully available at some point.

It's basically about a grandfather who's lost his wife and is now living with his daughter, her husband and their kid. The family notice he's starting to get a bit forgetful, early signs of Alzheimer's and start to worry. They want to put him in a home, but at the same time, Alex is daughter, doesn't just want to abandon him. But when she discovers she's pregnant again she knows she's going to need the space.

We wanted to create a film that was easy to follow, a simple storyline, and something people could relate to.

Let me know what you think

Why not. Surely you can't judge anything by the first few seconds?

Glad people are liking it. Some of course are not keen on the length so just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on any scenes that didn't work, that if you could, you'd cut?

aww that little girl was adorable lol. especially when she was asking for a glass of bubbly!

quite a decent short film with good acting. ending felt a bit abrupt though but thats normally the case with short films.
