Default Topman pulls out "sexist" t-shirts

I actually agree, what sort of shirt is that I can imagine all the losers out there would buy it but still... pretty unacceptable

Topman has withdrawn two of its T-shirts from sale with immediate effect after a slew of negative publicity, with some Twitter users suggesting they are either offensive to women or could be considered to condone domestic violence.

The T-shirts both feature slogans and were, until today, available for sale in the UK in Topman's stores and online.
A grey crew-neck T-shirt features the slogan: 'Nice new girlfriend - what breed is she?'
The other, a red crew-neck, says: 'I'm so sorry but...' then has a tick-box list of 'excuses' for doing something wrong.
The excuses, in order, are: You provoked me; I was drunk; I was having a bad day; I hate you; I didn't mean it; I couldn't help it.

Despite being marketed as 'tongue-in-cheek', the second T-shirt has been construed by many as making reference to a range of emotive crimes, including domestic violence or rape.
One Facebook users commented: 'Topman used to be cool, then they decided to redesign the stores, and now this? I'm ashamed.'
Another added: 'Oh my god. Who at Topman thought these were a good idea?'

However, the shop has received some support from others.
One said: 'You have a choice, you can like them or not, if you don't its simple really, don't buy it!! Its 2 t-shirts out of a choice of hundreds?!?!? Whats the big deal??'

Another remarked: 'What part of that t-shirt indicates that they're excuses for violence? Another over the top reaction to a light-hearted design. @Topman, ignore the complaints, you have nothing to apologise for.'
In a statement posted to Twitter and Facebook after pulling the shirts, Topman said: 'We have received some negative feedback regarding two of our printed T-shirts.
'Whilst we would like to stress that these T-shirts were meant to be light-hearted and carried no serious meaning we have made the decision to remove these from store and online as soon as possible.

Douches would buy them, but other than that they're pretty lousy and not humourous in any sense of the word. Speak of which, "Display Until..." labels on food products might be being scrapped.

I kind of agree with this comment:

But seriously, who would actually buy that?

So many t-shirts are sexist, this is a joke. You'd have to be a **** to buy the t-shirts as they're not funny, but at least give people the choice to be ***** and judged accordingly.

It's a t-shirt jeez, i personally wouldn't buy it and lets be honest it isn't offensive, people just like to cry about everything to get attention. Sexism is a joke nowadays, fair enough it isn't a joke to those who were actually abused but jesus most of the people who are complaining are probs teenagers or middled age women who were never abused and just like to winge and make things escalate into something that never actually meant to be offensive (as women do, couldn't resist

Warning contains language filtered on the forum.

Because lets just moan for the sake of it, don't we just all love a good successful moan sometimes, and like, what? Who gives a damn if there's only another FAIRLY LARGE amount of these kind of shirts from different suppliers.

Because it's topman/shop it made news, but to be quite honest, I find half the clothes *****ish from Topman anyway and wouldn't been seen dead in them because they all scream "I'm full of myself".

i think the first one is hilarious hahahaha, i don't think any of my friends would wear it (cause having t-shirts like that is lame anyway) but i like the first one. the second one is just bizarre though.
