    Default Universal or Disney

    Hello.

So I made a thread a while back about going to Miami and we're going. Everything's booked and paid - flights and WM28 package. So anyway, we'll be in Orlando for about 2 days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday but Tuesday will be half day) and we want to do something fun.

We're both 20 year old guys into technology and was obviously brought up on Disney films but I think it'd probably be too childish for our liking which is why we're considering Universal instead.

Suggestions or anything? Ta muchly lovies.

Disney isn't just for kids you egit. I'm not sure if you've made a choice yet but anyway, I've been to Orlando 6 times so here's an explanation on each thing to give you a bit more of help

    Magic Kingdom
MK is pretty much for kids, but it's the largest park so there's plenty to do. The rides that aren't really childish are space mountain, splash mountain, thunder mountain. It's enjoyable overall especially if you like disney.

    Animal Kingdom
This is a good park to go to, espeically to get out of the sun. The rides here are awesome, there's the safari, the river rapids, expedition everest (a rollercoaster) and some others. This could be done in half a day so you could spend the other half of the day either at DHS or one of the water parks

    Disney Hollywood Studios
This is probably the park to go to for the boys, it has Tower of Terror and Rock'n'Roller Coaster, which are awesome rides for teen/adult people. There's also the toy story ride and some others. This could be done in half a day so as above you could go to AK and DHS in one day.

    Epcot
This is probably the most relaxed park. Not so much "thrill" rides here (except for mission space), but some good rides nontheless such as soarin, which is pretty cool, you get to soar over california. Then there's also the world showcase (which is good for beer if any of you are 21 or over)

    Blizzard Beach/Typhoon Lagoon
These are the two water parks, which I would recommend to go to cause it's hot and they're pretty nice. There's also some awesome water slides here such as summit plummit (for a big thrill seeker).

    Universal Studios
This is all about the movies! There's rides here which can be classed as childish such as jimmy neutron and shrek (but they're still pretty awesome) then there's also the jaws ride, rip ride and rockit, the simpsons and the mummy ride which is good for the older and a bit of thrill seekers.

    Islands of Adventure
This park is awesome, they have 3 of the best rides in the world. Ever. The Hulk, Spiderman and Harry Potter and the forbidden journey. This theme park is about the superheroes and harry potter. It could possibly be done in half a day (depending on how quickly you get to harry potter)

There's also sea world, which is a pretty cool park and it has an awesome rollercoaster.
If you guys are thrill seekers i'd recommend Busch Gardens.

I can't recommend one over the other because I love them all, but you could probably do the two universal parks in about 1 and a half days.
    Alexandra!

I'm in florida now, miami is super hot right now! Like, actually stifling

Anyway... if you're only here for 2 days then Disney's not really worth it IMO, and a lot of it can be quite childish. Universal, I think, has the extra "Wow factor" that Disney makes up for in Disneyness (if that makes sense...). Also, the queues at Disney are HORRENDOUS, but seeing as you're going after the American kids have gone back to school, and most of the English kids will be at home, Universal will have shorter queues. There's also a better atmosphere there, and the rides are soooo much better.

If you have any specifics, like if you prefer shows/rides, then feel free to ask, been to all the parks tonsss of times so I have quite a lot of knowledge . But I do have to say, if you even LIKE harry potter, Universal is an absolutely AMAZING experience.

I'll be going florida in November (Heathrow - Miami - Orlando)

I 'd say that you should go to a Disney park (Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom or Epcot or Hollywood Studios or Blizzard Beach/Typhoon Lagoon) because these parks are not just for kids they are for people aged 0 - 100+ so i'd suggest you pick a Disney park to go to for a day day and then for the second day i'd go to Universal Islands of adventure because if your a thrill seeker like me the are loads of thrill rides you can go on like for example:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsjdYQJc748 - The Incredible Hulk Rollercoaster

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6IyUxNKZTDc - Dragon Challenge: Chinese Fireball

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkVf9xTBra0 - Dragon Challenge: Hungarian Horntail

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1n7-AQnuXE - Doctor Doom's Freefall

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4a3DUeTTFy0 - Dudley Do Right's Ripsaw Falls (Water Ride)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbsMrI6jc88 - Popeye and Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges (Water Ride)
