    Default Autumn heatwave for Britain

BRITAIN is set for a heatwave which could see temperatures as high as 81° F (27° C).

The prediction for next week follows the coldest summer since 1993.

Forecaster Jonathan Powell, of Positive Weather Solutions, said: "Don't pack away the barbecue just yet — the burst of warmth will see out September and bring in October."

An area of high pressure is due to move in after Sunday and stay anchored over the country for the week.

It will see temperatures climb from 68°F (20°C) in the South on Monday — and they may hit 81°F (27°C) next weekend.

In the North it is forecast to hit 73°F (23°C). The average for September is 61°F (16°C).
And the Met Office said next weekend's first days of October were expected to be the hottest since 1985. That saw the month's hottest temperature yet recorded — the 85°F (29.4°C) at March, Cambs, on October 1.

I'm very happy with my local forecast Tuesday "20C", Wednesday "23C", Thursday "23C", Friday "25C"

It's true, I read weather charts a lot and was telling my friends about this about 7 days ago.

We had a bad summer? I found it quite hot here :S Not fussed about the heatwave, I gave up with relating weather and seasons, they're all mucked up and spontaneous

I think this will cause more thunderstorms than heatwave, we had a massive one today because it was so hot and then started raining.

Apart from the far north-west of Scotland and the far north-west of Ireland, the entire of the UK will be bone dry for at least the next 7 days, I can assure you! Ironic that my forecast for the next five days is the most impressive of the year in terms of heat and sunshine and we're going into October. Incredible!

As for London, I expect you'll be breaking some temperature records over the next 5-7 days!

This is the UK, you can never assure there won't be rain

I'm looking forward to some warm weather though!
