    Default The Diary Of Acting

Well this article is really about posting infomation on how to make it in Acting. So my article is basicly the starting point for this to expand.

So making it in acting. Well if you want to be an actor or actress you got to have 3 main skills:
    :-Charisma
    :-Able to Entertain an audince
    :-Listening

Acting isn't just putting on a face and saying a few lines. you have got to be able to get into character and show feeling in your performance. Also to entertain and make it believable. Well first of all is that I suggest you start young so you have an edge in later life. Next going to your local drama club or performing arts school for teens is a step. You should aim for summer courses. Do a google on performing arts to find out more.

If you are really serious about acting, auditioning for school plays is a good start and a great boost in confidence. (Emma Watson (<--- Hermione) started out in plays at her school) Also helps build your skills. Also try looking in local newspapers or on casting websites on upcoming film roles. If you find a part that is ideal. Submit a Photo of yourself and a description of why you would be ideal for the part to the movies casting agency. If Auditions are held somewhere it is best to go rather than to send a letter/@mail. As showing up in person can make a huge differnce.

Acting is a really hard career path as you are never quite certian you'll find work. Its is also a hard job having to do takes all over agian and agian. If your looking for a shortcut to fame and fortune. Don't bother doing anything I said and you wasted your time reading this. For aspiring young actors/actresses you should find a source of main tips in this article. Also let me remind you::::THEY'RE NO EASY SHORTCUTS IN ACTING!!!::::

I hope this thread will continue to grow with tips and help on acting. Expanding to help creative teens grow into the next stars of hollywood.

I hope this will encourage people to act.
But most of all HAVE FUN!

    *Adds tips*

Im an "Aspiring" Actor/Thesbian, and i recommend that you dont just let other people teach you, i think you need to grab youre feelings from the inside and rip them out into a performance. When you act, imagine youre inside this person.
Something i learnt at Drama school, is that before a performance imagine youre the character and go for a trip around youre school, make decisions that the character would do and not you. Imagine looking in a mirror and seeing youre character and not you, this helps trust me

Another rule in acting is to move while you act, hand motions, walking, pacing, if you cant move whilst saying youre lines you wont go very far, even in a monolouge the best way to express what youre saying is through face motions, movements and hand gestures. Dont be afraid of what others will think, and try and act with youre friends, acting with youre friends will get youre nerves down, will make you feel more comfortorble.

If you wanna be able to act you need to be 100% ready for it, because no actor hasnt made it by not being determined, showing up at every audition possible will promise you to get far
