Default Why my life is just going downhill.

    Right, so yes.
For the past little while I have been posting videos of myself singing on youtube..as singing is what I enjoy.
I kept it on the sly, no one at school knew, it was all good.

But lately someone at school found out, not exactly a friend of mine and i was like, yes I do it.. whats the problem? But its started to get worse and its turning into bullying. I have no idea what to do. What should i do to stop myself feeling hurt? I dont want to stop doing what I do, because then I wouldnt be me.

Any help right now would be brilliant
    Thanks,
    Matt

well since it's out and people know you do it - then there's no point stopping doing what you like (since people already know/existing videos are on youtube anyway). just act like you don't care and things tend to die down after a few days/weeks. idk much about youtube videos, but can't you just make em private or so only users with existing accounts can only see the videos? (once again idk if it's possible, but if it is then it's worth a try i suppose).

Good point, it probably will just die down.
I might make them private if it never goes away, who knows.
    Thanks for the advice.

Something got out about me about 3 years ago when I was in year 10, sometimes people still talk about it and when I say it got bad it kinda did, the people in my school were complete idiots and thought it would be funny to inform my teachers and it was like no one would suspect me or anything andonly one teacher said 'it's not exactly wrong is it?' I feel it's the most hurtful experience knowing people are talking about you and being ****** towards you. It made me feel really paranoid and like I said it will never stop for me, until I leave college that way I will get away from it all, delete all the ******* off Facebook and stuff and get on with my life with the person I love. It got more annoying for me when they started posting on my Facebook wall, my Nan had just died, I was on holiday and it was the last thing I wanted so I stopped them being able to post on my wall. The moral of the story is, many people will not forget it, but you shouldn't stop just because they don't agree with it or they think it's funny because in a way, it is funny, just because they aren't pursuing their dream/hobbie whereas, you are. You are trying to improve yourself and a lot of people are found on youtube just like Justin Bieber and such, so why should you stop? You can't stop who you are, you are Matt, you are unique and singing is a sense of escapism for you, so do it, sing your heart out! If it does get out of hand, just tell a teacher, I know that would make you seem like a grass but when people went on at me in class there was this piece of paper going round where people were adding stuff to it 'Sam sucks **** for bus fare,' 'Sam licks ***** for pennies' stuff like that but I got over it, it does still hurt me but being able to confide in someone helps that I feel, like I said, I have someone and he makes me get through it each day. If the bullying continues try to escape by going to the cinema or something give yourself something to look forward to even if it's just once a week. That way you can have a break from the bullying as you don't deserve it.

It sounds awful! You should never stop being you and if your happy uploading the videos then thats up to you. I guess now that it's out and there isn't anything that you can do but just take it. I would really try and not let it bother you although that is a lot easier said than done :/ Maybe there is someone at school you can talk to about it? Good luck!

Omg I just checked your youtube and did you have a video from tryhabbo of you dancing to dora the explorer! When I was checking realplayer the other week your video was in my list ;o Anyway I would hate to see you stop something you love because of a bunch of bullies. Hopefully it just dies down when the novelty wears off but if not would there be anyone at school you could talk to? x

You're worried about people knowing and reactions yet you post the link in this thread, trying to advertise it. I know irl and online are different but you're very eager to get people to acknowledge you so why do you care if people IRL know? If you are confident with what you're doing then who gives one what other people think. Do whatever makes you happy, life is too short to do things you don't want to do.
