Default Do you feel guilty spending your parent's money?

A lot of us have jobs and get money from working but there's probably no denying the fact that our parents provide us with money to spend, or in the past did, for things like computers, cars (insurance, tires, gas, etc), school, even for electricity. Do you ever feel guilty about spending their money, and about not being totally financially independent by yourself?

For me I do, it amazes me that my parents can just fork over thousands of dollars for things like driving and school, University expenses and everything. I know I'm a big expense to them and it's almost impossible to believe that in 20 or 30 years it could be me with the power of having that much money to spend on my children.
I'm not crazy, ask my toaster.

oh most definitely but my mum is really careful with her money, we've never spent more than we need which is why we can live comfortably now. my mum has never placed much importance on money and doesn't mind giving it out to people if they need it but i personally rarely ask for any. i'm glad she never spoilt us silly or i would probably be an ungrateful little **** =]

I am not given money by my parents as a routine or even out of the blue, but the only times I do get money from them (birthday/Christmas) I feel, mostly with birthdays, I don't deserve the money. Christmas is an awkward one, i'd buy them a present of they wanted anything but they never do.

Yeah I feel terrible. I'm 15 and don't get pocket money, all I get is like £50 on Christmas and my Birthday. Were not doing very well for money atm because my parents divorced so I don't even have a winter jacket :L

They make me earn it if I want money, and I don't ask for money really so I don't really get this feeling.

I remember posting in this thread but my post is not there!!!!!!!!! >.<
    Still the same thing
I rarely get money from my parents (esp. my father). I didn't ask for branded clothes and stuff except for books. Imo, books are knowledge since I read non-fictions. So, I don't feel guilty for that. And they never bought me any presents. They'll only buy me stuff when I ask for them. for example, my clothes. when my clothes are all torn up, then only i'll ask them to buy me some new clothes. Basically, that's it before it gets too complicated.
