    Default Cures for toothache

    Hey guys,

I've checked online and googled many different things for this killer of a tooth, It's cracked so it's pretty painful, not just a random toothache.

I was wondering, does anyone know of any other methods to numb the pain until I can get to a dentist.

I've used whiskey before and it worked but I'm not able to get hold of any, I've got gin and vodka, do you think it's worth a shot? (No pun intended)

    Thanks

    Scott

salt water, onions, raw garlic, green tea, extremely diluted hydrogen peroxide. anything anti bacterial i suppose lol the last 2 work good for me but i also use them on a daily basis now and never get toothache anymore.

Just got back from the dentist, turns out there was a crack in my tooth which trapped a nerve. He told me the best ways to cure it are Ibuprofen and warm water with salt for a rinse 3 times a day.

    Future reference there!

ouch I had the same thing. The thing with ibuprofen is that you're going to want to keep having it every time it wears off and too much isn't good for you. The salt water thing really helps though If your tooth cracks further and your toothache gets worse they might have to remove your tooth so watch out!

Salt water definitely helps, when I had teeth out 2 years ago I was told to have salt water to numb the aching.

Agreed with Salt water. I have a tooth that has a hole in the bottom and is a bit chipped and salt water does make the pain go away for a little while haha. Had a temporary filling too but that didnt last too long haha.

ouchie, i was kinda in this same issue over christmas. years ago my old dentist at a diff surgery thought I had a baby tooth and for some reason drilled right deep into it and put a big filling in had agony a week before christmas and my dentist did an xray in my mouth that hurt and said it was infected and i had to go to hospital for a bigger xray sea salt water and the amoxicillin hurt ALOT. Ended up having to have a huge molar tooth out 2 DAYS before christmas. Didn't get to keep my tooth though cos my dentist kept it as proof to take legal action against my old surgery since he had to keep fixing people up from there

Once my brother accidentally used Flexol as toothpaste. He said the taste was GAWD AWFUL, but it instantly cured his toothache O.o
