I picked up 10 petal patches, and only recieved 9 petals. I also picked up 12 sand patches, and only recieved 8 in my hand, I reported this to mods and they said 'We are aware of this issue, and our tech ops are looking into this, we hope to get your furniture back soon!' Something like that? Anyone else having this problem?

Hmm, it's not happening to me and I've picked quite a bit up! I guess you're lucky you know that it's just missing unlike last time when everyone was worried that their furni would be gone permanently.
