    Default Facebook / private moments

I don't want to be mean or anything. But why do people share photos of graves, or last moments with relatives for the whole world to see on Facebook. Surely it should be something private for only family and close friends to be with you at that time.

I think this is an issue that most people will be torn about: people on HxF may disagree with it, but obviously some people on Facebook think it's acceptable. I think it will become increasingly commonplace over the next few years. Society is moving online each and every day: some people probably find it weird that a group of teenagers talk to each other on a forum for Habbo, but it happens. Perhaps advertising your personal matters are considered by many to be morally wrong at the moment, but I daresay we're simply in a transition period and the worst is yet to come.

Facebook is for friends, people share things that are happening in their lives with friends.

If you're adding acquaintances or people you met once, then you're doing it wrong.

I think we should just live and let live. If someone wants to share things others wouldn't share for the sake of being 'private', let them. They probably have different boundaries and values than others.

i dont like it even when people write "RIP" about someone whether it's a recent death or anniversary whatever. i hate it. it's nice for people to show support but a few likes isn't going to do anything. i see my cousins write "rip gran" and it pisses me off. you shouldn't use someone's death for sympathy. i swear if any of my other family members die and i get "sorry for your loss" i will flip my ****. if you're so sorry then phone me, text me, PRIVATE message me. im just gonna deactivate facebook soon, all this stuff is ridiculous.

I don't mind pages created or anything for a recently passed friend or anything. But the thing what kind of makes me a bit annoyed is when its something like a picture of them on their mothers death bed and they kind of do it purposely to get likes.

I posted a thread similar to this not long ago, and it really does frustrate me. For the big ones, like being with someone who has cancer, the chances are it is likely to spread that people who don't even have them as friends are liking the photos. Even the smaller things annoy me too, some girl posted a massive status saying "I would like to thank my mum for bla bla bla" and I'm just thinking great, but maybe you should tell your mum that rather then the people you have on facebook?

I have noticed that an application is on facebook where you kind of create a grave for yourself? and it tell you how you die etc, not sure if you've mixed those up with the real thing so to speak aha
