I'm a little bit confused

I've been with this girl on and off for 5-6 months and it just seems to be problem after problem with her. If it's not my friends saying some **** to me about her, it's her friends saying **** to her about me. But that's not really the issue, the issue is her reaction to things. I have had lots of arguments with my friends about it, telling them it's none of their business. But she just says "they're trying to protect me" and this just leads to arguments between me and her because she just lets all of her friends control her life. I've only been out with her twice with just me and her because every time she wants to go out her friends want to come out. It's only recently that I've been out with her and that's because I had a massive go at one of her interfering friends. I accept that she should have time with just her and her friends and she accepts that I need time with just my friends but neither of our friends can accept that me and her need time together.

My best friend is getting very jealous saying that I never see him any more even though I'm with him more or less every day. When he's with me, he'll *Removed* her off and when he's with her he'll *Removed* me off.

I don't know what to do and considering I'm not close to any of my older brothers or sisters I thought I'd ask people that are older and wiser (some of you ) than myself.
