This is so awful to see him go so early on into the role. I tried everything I could to make him change his mind but no luck. Even though he had a short run he did a lot for the forum and brought the department back to life and I'm sure everyone in the department will agree with me that he will be sorely missed. I expect I won't be far behind him, unfortunately but that's because, once again I can't get on with management ( @scott; will love that one ) and will no longer have the motivation to continue when the new manager is appointed.
