    Default Habbox Events Staff Feedback

While attending Majestic Races at 17:00 BST on Habbo.com I was shocked and appalled by the level of unfairness displayed by the host towards her friends.

A player left the game and the host allowed the player back in and this player went on to win the event.

Please can we establish some consistent rules...

    As I said earlier:

"If you disconnect during your event at the Olympic Games, you don't get let back in".

The same should apply at Habbox.

I wouldn't even bother complaining about the events, I tried to complain and nothing was done about it, so I was then complaining about the complaints system, and one departmental manager said:

"We have better things to do with our time than reply to every little pathetic complaint we get"

    So, good luck!

Don't get me wrong, some of the events are great but as I have mentioned previously there is a varying standard in the hosting of these events.

Yeah I went to an event yesterday, I won but it wasn't the point that people were favoured more than others - staff were also being rude to members in the room (yes the person was being rude back but shouldn't retaliate even if they're related).

I have only been to a few events but there's a mixed bunch of good and bad!

It would be good if management made accounts that nobody new to come along and "review" the EOs in question... Fail proof.

I agree. There needs to be an official review by an Independent Commission on Habbox Events and a full report needs to be compiled and reforms made.

Hi Ed. If you're genuinely "appalled" and "shocked" at this event then I'm sorry, but I do think we need to put a couple of things into perspective and take a look at the type of language you've used here. I was in the event and saw what happened. The individual in question disconnected from Habbo, and the host simply let them back in to finish their game. That's it. End. There is no "unfairness" here at all; it's merely a gesture of good-will so they could finish the game. I'm not sure what else you'd like us to say?

I don't understand your Olympic Games analogy either. If you're comparing Habbox Events to the Olympic Games then I think we're getting on to something far greater than this.

We've already had a chat about this, Kardan, and you're aware that I dealt with the issue as soon as it happened. I had a chat with the Events Organiser just seconds afterwards, there was an apology, we discussed it, and it was sorted. As for the complaint you sent through PM, I can only assume it slipped Alex's mind (it's important to note he'd only been manager for a few days too). I do understand it can be frustrating if it feels like your opinion is falling on deaf ears, and I always make a point of replying... even if it's just a quick "Thanks for letting me know, I'll follow this up".

I also think that comment by another departmental manager (neither of us in Events, I hasten to add) was slightly unwarranted. I, personally, make time for every comment, regardless of how pathetic it sounds. I wouldn't feel happy with myself otherwise.

We appreciate your feedback and I invite you to send Alex or myself a PM if you have a genuine issue. What I don't like, however, is the threats towards Events Organisers. The mighty attitude of "I have posted a complaint of the highest order" and calls of "SCAAAAAM" in the event simply aren't wanted. There are ways and means of telling us your problems - deliberate attempts to disrupt the host or embarrass them in public are just purile.

As always, if you see staff being rude then a PM to SyrupyMonkey or their department manager is all it takes. Formal complaints about an EO should be explained through PM, with evidence, to myself or Alex. Easy.

Ha, nice idea Lee but I'd like to think I trust the Events Organisers more than that!

...hence why I question the validity of this thread.

Good old Mathew with his "my team are perfect and all complaints are invalid JUST BECAUSE" line

Problems do occur with events staff, and telling people that their experiences don't matter is not a solution

Everything is clearly not alright. If it was just me kicking up a fuss, then I would have been shot down in the first few replies however it is clear that it is not just anomalous. With regards to personal messaging, this is a way for the management to hush down such uproar as when it is in the public spectrum people are more willing to speak up and contribute.
