so its aimed towards mobiles/tablets

seems a specific mod is going on a mad one moving everything into that forum (usb drives, hard drives, etc) probably to get mod logs up or something

alternatively tell him to chill the **** out

chris tells you to move everything there pretty much, everything thats smaller than your hand = handheld, incls hard drives etc

Why does the forum state specifically no laptops then? as it's a mobile device.

A hard drive isn't always portable, theres various types of external hard drive, one being portable (typically smaller, no mains adapter).

This forum has always been used mainly for mobiles and tablets (pretty sure it used to be called something different or the description was different), now that he's here seems to be moving everything into that forum.

I do agree that the description is a bit iffy and it would be nice to have a more clear description of what a portable device is so there isn't as much confusion so that way there will be less threads being moved. And wouldn't it make sense to refer to a laptop as a portable device? Personal opinion.

Yeah I agree with this as their could be some confusion. Especially considering a laptop is technically "portable" since you can carry it round with you and ting, yet its not considered one according to hxf, so I can easily see why people would think a harddrive wasnt too Before its been pretty exclusive to mobiles, tablets etc, I think thats why laptops were left out etc, but could be wrong. It isn't really that clear what is/isn't classed as one at the moment anyway.

If hard drive's going to cause confusion it should be left alone and not be classed as a portable device under these circumstances imo
