Galaxy Tab 10.1, no competition. Blackberry had an interesting go but failed.

If you had a better choice then I'd suggest Nexus 7 hands down though.

Definitely, there's no better 7" tablet on the market. Even the iPad Mini is only subjectively better.

Well, the Playbook is a 7 inch device - making it immediately more portable than the Galaxy Tab at 10 inches. They're similar on processing power and you can expect fairly snappy performance from both with little noticeable delay.

The biggest thing to mention is that the Playbook uses it's own OS and not an official Android build, so while it does support certain Android apps, it won't be compatible with them all out of the box.

It really comes down to whether you want something cheaper and smaller in the Playbook, with the downside of having a heavily modified version of Android, with a lot of proprietary features built over it - or something larger for better movie viewing and a wider selection of apps in the Galaxy Tab.

If it was my choice, I'd go for the best of both worlds in power and portability, as well as having Android and get a Nexus 7.

They GIVE them (Playbooks) away here. Maybe because it's Canada, maybe because they give them away everywhere I don't know. Every single engineering student got one at my University. They have rebates so you can get them for $100 or even less sometimes. Entire companies including RIM give every employee one. My mom has one and I know of someone else who's giving one away as a Christmas present.

Every single phone RIM has released to the consumer market is a giant pile of plastic garbage which fails in every single way when compared to real smartphones. Their tablets, however, are semi-usable. If you buy one you will notice two things:

    1) There are not very many applications

    2) It takes forever to turn on. Really, I don't know why it takes so long to turn on but it takes ages to do so.

I highly recommend getting the Android device because although Android eats through battery life like there's no tomorrow, there is at least better application availability for Android. I wish there were more applications optimized for Tablets on Android but there's much more availability compared to the playbook.
I'm not crazy, ask my toaster.

Definitely not the PlayBook, I wouldn't even consider it - just look for reviews online and you'll see why . As for the other two, definitely the Nexus 7! I haven't used one myself but have heard a lot of good things about it, and I'm sure it'd be great . I wouldn't go for the Samsung as the majority of Samsung-owners I know have had nothing but problems with their devices.

    Not online very often

I just got a Samsung Galaxy 2 7 inch one and I'm liking it so far, I'd stay away from Blackberry and their PlayBook in general. However, I hear Nexus 7 is also good so I'd suggest either of them.
