    Hi,

So a few of us are wanting to go to Reading Fest in August (now Eminem has been annouced) & Sub-focus

    never the less wondering a few things;
    • How much space can you take?
Would it be any good with just 3 of us
      How strict are they there?
Are there many morons or total idiots vandalizing etc?

How much space can you take?
You can take up as much space as necessary, provided that you get to the festival early enough.

Would it be any good with just 3 of us?
I went in a group of 7 but spent most of the time either by myself or with at most two people, however it was still great fun generally because of the atmosphere itself.

    How strict are they there?
From what I had noticed they weren't too strict. You will be searched when entering the arena though, so make sure to leave drinks at your tent.

Are there many morons or total idiots vandalizing etc?
The only thing I noticed whilst going this year (first time) was people constantly shouting at night which was still easy to sleep through, and there was practically no vandalism. Then again, I can only say this about the red and green campsites, I'm not sure about the others.

Not sure on what space you can actually take but there was 5 of us last year. We did all get lost alot and had trouble getting back to our tent but the people you meet in the same situation is amazing. Where we were there wasn't any vandalism but we did hear of some people that got robbed, mugged etc but it could of been their fault at some point. We didn't get searched at any point while we were there and we had a few naughty things on us.

If you're going there with the worry of your things being stolen or whatever then it will ruin your time. We brought crappy things that if got stolen then we wouldn't really care as we didn't want to spent the whole time worrying about our stuff and wanted to have acare-free weekend.

Can take as much space as you like, but you do have to walk miles. So you do have to be able to carry everything and its a real killer.

Other than fires/ explosions and complaints, you should be fine. It's pretty lawless - but in a good way.

People sleep around 5 maybe. Picadilly circus is usually open latest or individual campsite discos which end at 6/7.
Sunday night's riot night, I had all my clothes stolen one year so don't leave them lying about in some. Collapsed tents get raided really.
Not many idiots other than that & you'll have a great time.

Early bird tickets might be the best option - so you can get a good camping space, otherwise it's quite tricky to get spaces that might not flood.
I've been going for the last 4 years.

    superhappy.
